Youth for Climate, skipping school or not?

On the 7th of February, secondary school students from all around the Netherlands went on strike. On strike? Well, they skipped school. Because legally, secondary school students aren’t yet allowed to go on strike. But then what made thousands and thousands risk trouble with school attendance authorities? I went (with some effort) to The Hague to ask them myself.
