SPIL visits House of Representatives and Senate
You probably have walked past the Binnenhof dozens of times by now. But do you want to know what it looks like on the inside? And do you want to know what is being disucced between those beautiful old walls?
On the 13th of March the SPIL is visiting the Senate with an international group of students. We will have the opportunity to talk with the Chairwoman Ankie Broekers-Knol! The Senate is the place that all national legislation has to pass in order to be implemented. So a pretty powerful organ! The members are indirectly elected by the province's councilmembers who are being elected on the 20th of March. Therefore, there are quite some intersting things happening within the Senate very soon. The more reason to visit the state organ now!
Secondly, we are also going to visit the House of Representatives with a group of international students ont he 14th! The House of Representatives is where the parliament is seated. If you want to walk around in the place where people like the Prime Minister and Geert Wilders walk around, register now here!
For the Dutch-speaking students, there is a seperate visit planned to the House of Representatives!
